This Privacy Policy explains what Metanlytics LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Bolt Hiring ("we," "us," or "our"), collects when you use bolthiring.com (the "Service"), why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version. Job seekers give us an email address and a few filters. We use them to send matching job alerts and nothing else. We do not sell or share your information, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers, we do not ask for a resume or a phone number, and employers never receive our subscriber list.
This Policy covers the Service. It does not cover an employer's own website, application system, or hiring process, even when you reach them through a posting we delivered. Once you contact an employer, their privacy practices apply, not ours.
We do not ask for or accept, and the Service has no field for: resumes or CVs, phone numbers, postal addresses, dates of birth, work history, education, photographs, government identification numbers, immigration or citizenship status, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, health information, or any other sensitive personal information. Job seekers do not create an account and do not set a password.
Where a posting states a work authorization requirement, that requirement is the employer's and applies to their process. We do not collect or hold any job seeker's work authorization status.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Matching decides which emails you receive and nothing more: it never decides who is considered for a role. We do not rank, score, or recommend you to anyone, we do not tell employers you exist, and every decision about whom to contact or interview is made by the employer without any input from us.
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the Service. Those categories are:
We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights, safety, or property or those of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
A current list of our service providers is available on request at info@bolthiring.com.
The Service runs no advertising trackers, no analytics trackers, and no third-party cookies. We do not use pixels or beacons in job alert emails to track opens.
We use two things only:
Because we do not track you, there is no advertising consent banner to click.
We use confirmed opt-in: no alert is sent until you click the confirmation link. You choose daily or weekly, and on a day with no matching postings we send nothing at all.
Every alert carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately with no confirmation step and no sign-in. Employers also receive service messages about their account and postings; these are transactional and continue while the account is active.
Anyone holding a link from your inbox can change or cancel your subscription, which is what lets us avoid passwords. Treat those emails as you would any other personal message.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Database access is governed by row-level security policies, so the public key used by the website can read only published postings and can never read the subscriber list. Administrative access is password protected and separate from ordinary use. A password is optional for both job seekers and employers, and either can use emailed sign-in links instead and never set one. Where a password exists it is held by our authentication provider as a salted hash, never in plain text and never in the table that holds subscriber addresses and filters. We cannot read it, and a password reset replaces it rather than revealing it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by California law.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email info@bolthiring.com from the address you subscribed with, or use the preferences link in any alert. We will verify a request by confirming control of that address, which is the only identifier we hold. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days with notice. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission that we can verify.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets residents request details of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing. We make no such disclosures.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by California law. There is therefore nothing to opt out of, and no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is required. Because we run no trackers, an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control has nothing to act on here.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana, have broadly similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We extend the rights in Section 11 to all users regardless of where they live. Use the same contact route, and where your state provides an appeal process for a refused request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
The Service is for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we will delete the record.
Applications go directly to you. We do not receive, store, or forward resumes, applications, or candidate materials. When a candidate contacts you, you are the controller or business with respect to their personal information, and your own privacy obligations apply, including any notice at collection required of California employers.
We operate in the United States and our providers process information there. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
We may update this Policy. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice, such as by email or a notice on the Service, before it takes effect, and we will update the date at the top.
