Lead the architecture, design and implementation of large-scale real-time data processing platforms for a financial services client. 10+ years overall, with 5+ in real-time streaming and distributed data processing. Must have: scalable, fault-tolerant streaming applications built on Apache Spark Structured Streaming, AWS Flink and Apache Kafka, with strong Python or Java and solid AWS application development. Responsibilities - Lead the architecture, design and implementation of real-time data pipelines - Define technical standards, best practices and coding guidelines for the team - Work with business stakeholders, architects and product owners - Optimise streaming applications for performance, reliability and scale - Drive design reviews, code reviews and production readiness assessments - Mentor development teams across onshore and offshore locations - Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead during critical incidents - Ensure security, governance and compliance requirements are met Locals only.
